Greetings and Salutation Rose Canyon 3rd Ward. I love the month of May. It is spring, It brings hope, warm rays of sunshine and new growt. It also brings weeds, yard work and sore knees. I pray that we will all be inclined to bend our knees in prayer more often than to pull weeds and plant flowers. Our Heavenly Fathers love is constant and we have the promise that if we knock it shall be opened unto us. I usually find his blessings and comfort when I take the time to pause, reflect and look for his influence in my life. May the peace of Christ be with you this month and always.
With warmest regards the Elders quorum Presidency

It is so hard to believe that spring came, and then it went and then came summer heat, then cool spring days and now we wait…. Maybe snow in July
The parable of the fig tree has become more confusing for me. What season is it? I would encourage all of us to focus on being prepared today. Spiritually, physically, and emotionally, for the times that are ahead will certainly be challenging, life changing and hopefully with moments of exhilarating joy, peace and contentment. What can you do today to fill your lamp with the oil of faith, hope and charity?
In today’s busy world of appointments, commitments, texts, emails, voicemails among other things to do I believe many of us feel increasingly lonely or isolated instead of connected.
The adversary wants us to be in a state of confusion and anxiety to keep our hearts and minds from tuning into the still small voice that speaks peace and comfort to our minds. Like the weather we often do not know what direction we are going today. I would encourage us all to begin our day with a moment of silent prayer and plan to connect with one person each day, even if it is just to say hello I care. The fruit blossoms may freeze or blow away with the late spring hailstorms but the love we share for each other is eternal and lasting. I do not know when the fig tree will blossom, but I know if we are prepared, and know that someone cares we need not fear. I take great comfort in the saying God looks at the angle of our path not our location. Are we trying to improve? Did we get up and turn to him after we falter? Are we trying to be better? The servant who entered the field to labor at the last hour is not judged or rewarded by the work of the first hour. I am so glad I am not compared to others for I would surely fail. We are not graded on a curve of F to A but on the thoughts and desires of our heart. We can all be called wise and faithful servants of Jesus Christ.
I pray that the peace of Christ will continually abide with you and in your homes.
