Members of the Rose Canyon Stake
Hello,
Rose Canyon 3rd Ward!
We hope you are having a wonderful start to the month of December!
We are looking forward to being with you tomorrow at our fast and testimony meeting. An email was sent earlier by Brother Von Cannon regarding this; however, this is an additional reminder to fast and pray to know who you should invite to come to our Sunday, December 21st, sacrament meeting. Please also consider fasting and praying for the courage to extend the invitation and for the preparation of the heart and mind of the individual(s) you will be inviting. There will not be a 2nd hour of church on that day. We are planning to have a Christ centered sacrament meeting with lots of beautiful music.
As part of our December to Remember, please remember to watch the First Presidency’s Christmas Devotional tomorrow evening at 6pm as a family. Please use this link to join the 7:15 pm stake wide prayer.
Additionally, please reach out to schedule a personal visit in the month of December with the family and individuals to whom you are assigned to minister. When your ministers reach out to you, please do what you can to accommodate a visit from them. If you do not know who you minister to, you can check the Member Tools app or reach out to President Betts or President Bartholomew.
Lastly, please do not forget to create your own custom plan to invite more of the Savior's influence into your life by finishing the following sentence - To invite more of Jesus Christ’s light into my life, I will…
Thank you for accepting the invitation to participate in a December to Remember. We have attached the full list of invitations to this email.
We pray that you will feel the Savior’s love for you during this Christmas season and always.
With love,
The Rose Canyon 3rd Ward Bishopric
Invitations from President Soffe from stake conference.
“My invitation to conclude is for all of you. From the primary child, to the youth, to the young adults, all of whom I love with all my heart…
Over the next 6 months, brother and sisters, I invite you to choose one small consistent action that will bring you closer to and become more like Jesus Christ. It could be setting aside a few minutes each day just for Him, to be with the Savior, however, that looks to you. It could be an effort related to the temple, I am not advocating one thing or another, but one thing that works for you. It could be related to what you do with the document called the Living Christ, in your family, in your personal study…
Maybe you could use a word or a phrase that inspires you from the stake vision to prompt this consistent small action in your life. Whatever it is make it intentional and consistent and you’ll begin to see a transformation that will be enabled by the Savior's atonement.”
I promise you that as you extend your efforts that Lord will magnify them and you will feel His influence in your lives and you will see His influence in your life. And with those two things you’ll see a transformation into becoming the disciple that Elder Soares talked about. He called it, ‘Heroic Discipleship.” - President Soffe (January 2025, Sunday General Session of Stake Conference)
“It has been on my mind a great deal as one of President Nelson’s most recent invitations to study the atonement every week for the rest of our lives…I love that idea and invite us to do that together.” (January 2025, Sunday General Session of Stake Conference)
“I Invite you brothers and sisters to prioritize the Savior in our lives, to give him more of your time.” (January 2025, Sunday General Session of Stake Conference)
Bishop David King
The RC3 Ward Activity web page (separate from our ward’s website), provided by the Church, provides a way for us to publish activities and make them searchable to our community. Organization leaders can submit activities, where activities can be shared with a link or on social media, and can even allow interested parties to RSVP.
You can find the "Shareable" RC3 Ward Activity web page here.
We have been counseled to be prepared for personal and large-scale disasters .
